Evaluation Part 2

Imaginative spaces.

After completing part two of Expressing Your Vision, I have learnt how focal points and lengths can distort your image drastically, yet with a couple of minor adjustments you can achieve the composition that you originally intended to capture. Placing a subject in front of a well lit area, using a wide aperture, and a fairly long focal length creates a very shallow depth of field. Using a small aperture and short focal length creates a deep depth of field. If you choose a subject that has background depth, depending on your point of focus you can achieve either a shallow or a deep depth of field.

Understanding how distances and focal lengths contribute to your composition is an important part of photography.
