Evaluation Part 3

Traces of time.

After completing part three of Expressing Your Vision I learnt that when using a fast shutter speed, the camera can catch a fragment of time that the naked eye cannot see, although, depending on the light you may have to increase the ISO to ensure that your image is sharp. When using a slow shutter speed, the camera produces an image that gives an effect of movement and blur. The shutter speed of a camera can be so fast that you can’t physically see the movement. What matters is to look further than what you see immediately in front of you, and the decisive moment, the second you capture the image is critical as times moves on all of the time.

What I have learnt from this section is how the shutter speed is a significant aspect of photography, and you have to take it into consideration depending on what you are trying to capture. I was very surprised at how speedily the shutter could operate when doing the exercises.
