Exercise 2.3

Choose a subject in front of a background with depth. Select your shortest focal length and take a close low viewpoint, below your subject. Find a natural point of focus and take the shot.

Distortion

This image was taken using a Canon EOS 5D mark IV with a 24mm-70mm telephoto lens, it was set to aperture priority, this exercise shows how the lens can create distortion to an image depending on what focal length and angle you are taking the picture from.  As this image was shot from a close low viewpoint, it appears to make the vertical lines become diagonal and the bottom of the image almost bulging, so it appears much larger than it actually is.
